Code of Conduct & Athlete Safety
Aledo Soccer Club is built on character. These are the expectations we hold for every player, parent, and coach — and our commitment to keeping every athlete safe.
What we expect of everyone.
Registering with Aledo Soccer Club means agreeing to this Code of Conduct. Tap any section to read the full expectations.
Our players represent Aledo Soccer Club on and off the pitch. We ask every player to compete hard, play fair, and treat everyone with respect.
- Give full effort in training and matches, and support your teammates.
- Respect coaches, teammates, opponents, and match officials at all times.
- Play within the laws of the game — no cheating, diving, or dissent.
- No abusive, discriminatory, or foul language or gestures.
- Take care of your equipment, facilities, and the fields we share.
- Win with humility, lose with dignity, and shake hands after every match.
Parents and spectators set the emotional tone of youth soccer. Your encouragement helps kids fall in love with the game — your sideline behavior matters as much as anything on the field.
- Cheer positively for all players — ours and our opponents'.
- Let the coaches coach and the referees referee; support from the sideline.
- Never criticize, coach, or heckle players, officials, or coaches during play.
- Observe the 24-hour rule: no game-day complaints — wait a day, then reach out calmly.
- Respect all club, venue, and facility rules and staff instructions.
- Model the character, respect, and sportsmanship we ask of our players.
Our coaches are held to the highest standard. They are responsible not just for developing players, but for protecting and modeling the character the club is built on.
- Put the safety, development, and well-being of players first — always.
- Complete all required background screening and SafeSport training.
- Maintain appropriate, transparent, and professional boundaries with athletes.
- Coach positively — build players up, never demean or humiliate.
- Follow US Soccer, US Club Soccer, and SafeSport rules and reporting duties.
- Report any concern about athlete safety immediately through proper channels.
Aledo Soccer Club is committed to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for every athlete. These policies are non-negotiable.
- We align with the U.S. Center for SafeSport and applicable athlete-safety standards.
- All coaches and staff complete background checks and SafeSport training.
- Zero tolerance for abuse, bullying, hazing, harassment, or discrimination of any kind.
- Zero tolerance for physical, emotional, or sexual misconduct — reported and acted on immediately.
- Concerns can always be raised confidentially, without fear of retaliation.
- Violations may result in suspension or removal from the club and reporting to authorities.
